7:33 a.m. - 9th August 2008 Up a little early as off to the countryside today. Had tried to book into B and B's in various countryside places for the weekend....After 'phone call 26 of "no room at the inn", gave up and thought we could do day type stuff to the countryside. Work has been very pressured this week and to be fair next week is going to be too. Feeling a bit tired and a tad irritable with the place at the moment....It is soooooooo busy. Finished at 20.30 Weds, Thurs and Fri having started at 07.30....Makes your hourly rate somewhat pathetic. Following on from somebody elses diary....I have two books called "Home Management", think they were my mom's. They have some stunning pearls of wisdom in
"A happy home is easy to recognise and appreciate. The husband and children hurry to it at the end of the day, knowing that they will be welcomed by you. Architects and interior decorators can build and furnish premises; they never yet bought to life a true home. This is women's work. Modern women carry on traditions from prehistoric times".
